No error on Client if upload fails on notify

I'm having a problem with BITS upload.

I have a scenario where I am uploading a file to a web site - and then I am running a Notification URL to an ASP.Net aspx page.

The ASP.Net aspx page is then processing the file. If this completes successfully then everything is fine - however if the ASP.Net page throws an exception for whatever reason the BITS job is being marked as TransientError.

This is all OK (I want the error) but the Client application is not being notified of the BITS job failing. I am handling the OnInterfaceError and OnJobError events, and setting the NotificationFlags to both Error.

Am I understanding this correctly? Should TransientErrors be notified to the client BitsManager or not? If not is there anything I can do other than looping through the jobs and checking myself?

(Great wrapper btw, thanks).

Transient errors are notified through OnJobModified. So you can check the state in your handler and e.g. make the apropriate modifications to the job which would allow the job to resume (Transient errors may be recoverable).
